How to Create Parts of a Face Feltboard Pieces

In addition to the Three Part Cards for the Parts of the Body, I have made feltboard pieces for the parts of a face. This is the first time that I have made my own feltboard pieces, and although the process itself is not difficult, I have learned that the pattern you use is very important. The more detailed a pattern, the more difficult it is to make the pieces.

I started of by finding a picture of a face. I printed the face on to normal paper.
All the facial features and hair were cut out and laminated.
However, the shape of the face was cut out of felt so that the facial features could be placed on the face.

The facial features and hair were then laminated and the individual pieces were glued on to felt of the same colour as the felt used for the outline of the face.

After the glue dried, the pieces were cut out again. The end result looked like this:

My mother in law and I found it quite funny (especially the nose). I do hope, however, that Connor won't be as critical and laugh at mummies first attempt at making feltboard pieces.
